The Job
Two Courts, Two Nights, One Crew
Dubai Fitness Challenge runs dozens of activations citywide every November, each with its own courts and structures built from scratch before doors open the next morning. We were brought in to handle the basketball court truss for two of those sites, back to back.
Kite Beach went up first, on the night of November 6th — a full truss frame built beside “The Play Ground by talabat” court, right on the sand with the skyline behind it. The next night, November 7th, the same crew moved to Zabeel Park to install the truss framing around the Emirates Basketball court. Two courts, two locations, one overnight window each — and both fully live and in play the next day.
The Build, Court by Court
Structural framing, built to hold
Assembling and rigging the truss for both basketball courts, including the overhead canopy and side supports that framed each court and carried the branded backdrops.
One night per site, no delays
Each site had a single overnight build window before the next day's public play — Kite Beach on the 6th, Zabeel Park on the 7th — with the crew moving straight from one site to the next.
Two sites, same standard
Keeping the build consistent across both locations, working alongside the wider DFC production team already on-site setting up branding, courts, and signage.
What the Structure Was Built to Hold
The real test of any court build is what happens once people are actually playing on it — both courts ran full games the day after install.
Small builds, tight windows — but the same standard either way. Two courts, two nights, and no second chance before the public walked in the next morning.
